I miss Viann. I was stunned to learn that her health went south. Now you are going to a bette place. The brass bands and the second line of New Orleans give a joyous send off to our dearly departed. Vi worked in community mental health. It was not adequately funded. lacking parity with physical diseases.
I'm very sorry to learn of Vi's passing. My ex-wife and I lived next door to Vi and Mark on Plaza Drive ('77 to '82).
My favorite memory of Viann is teaching her about butterflies. I told her when a butterfly crosses her path it's someone from her family who has passed on saying hello. She thought it was pretty neat.
Getting her up for her exercises and I hear her say, "hi mom" and I looked and saw a beautiful white butterfly going along. And that melted my heart and made me so happy to see.
I got to go and say goodbye to her when she passed and on my ride home, wouldn't you know it, a white butterfly crossed in front of my jeep. ❤️
She will ALWAYS be my spice queen, my first client, and my most cherished client.

Dear Mark & sons,
Viann has been in my thoughts & prayers. She will be greatly missed by so many. Viann helped to shape me into being a strong mental health advocate in my career. I will miss that we loved to share a cup of chai & catch up, whenever we could.
My deepest condolences to all of you! I am sorry I won't be able to be there to say goodbye. We are out of state right now.
