I'll miss the music in the summertime coming from his garage.
In the old New Haven high school every once in awhile Stan would come over to where I was eating lunch, he would sit his tray next to mine and made sure I was hanging with the cool kids, jokingly!! Then he would ask what girls I was interested in and made sure they would know. He was a senior and I was only a freshman, and a New Haven celebrity. So no doubt I thought this was pretty darn cool an getting introduced to some of the cutest girls in my class did not hurt a bit either. In turn I opened the windows to the cafeteria so he could put a chicken and a duck in on his last day of school
I ran into Stan on the roof of glenbrook commons servicing AC units after not seeing him for a number of years. We talked a while and neither one of us knew the other had gotten into hvac later in life. Though not ever real close with Stan I knew he was a great person to make company with.
I cant begin to say how sad I am today after hearing this news.
Stan you were one of the best drummers I’ve ever had the opportunity to be band mates with. I will cherish every memory and I will smile while doing so. Especially the one of the night the stage lights got so hot they set the matches in your pants pocket on fire! That was classic! You will be fondly remembered and deeply missed always.
Lani, I am praying for peace and comfort for you and the kids in this bitter season of life. Thank you for for always being such a radiant light for others to see. You probably were not even aware but tou were always an inspiration... God bless 💕
I knew Stan when he was with Oveelynd Express. I worked at Shortys back when Overlynd played there on a regular schedule. Stan was such a nice guy and his wife Lani was so sweet.
He will be missed by so many.
