Shirley A. Lyons' Obituary
Shirley A. Lyons, 73, of Atascadero, CA, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her home. Born in Milan Twp., Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sophie Busche. She retired in 1998 from K-mart after 17 years. She was a member of Settlers, Inc., Hearthstone Ensemble, and the Fort Wayne Historical Society. She was also a student at Cuesta Community College, San Luis Obispo, CA and was an active member at Lutheran of the Redeemer Church, Atascadero, CA.
She is survived by her children, William “Roy” Dawson of Atascadero, CA, Patrick Lyons of Huntington, and Debra Wiegman of Fort Wayne; siblings, Roger Busche of Atascadero, CA, Dorothy Nitz of Fort Wayne, Darlene Smith of Raymond, WA, and Loretta Auer of Columbia City; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ray Busche and Judy Medford.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Rev. Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Preferred memorial are to The White House in Atascadero, CA. in c/o Debra Wiegman.
