Robert Leo Shawler Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Leo Shawler, Jr., 66, of New Haven, Ind., formerly of Gas City, Ind., passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at home. Born in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert and Janet (Cramer) Shawler. He was a 1976 graduate of Mississinewa High School, Gas City. He served his country in the US Army. He retired as a vice president from Star Financial Bank in 2003. After that time, he worked in insurance. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and cheering on Purdue and the Indianapolis Colts. He was especially proud of his work with Twin City We Care where he oversaw the golf tournament for many years.
He is survived by son, Jeff Shawler; sisters, Karen (Kim) Hathaway and Linda (Jack) Garrison; and granddaughter, Alexxis Shawler; niece and nephew, Adrianne and Logan Hathaway; and great nephews, Braxton Walter and Rhett Hathaway.
Graveside service is 2 pm Friday, July 12, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Ave. Warsaw, followed by burial with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Twin City We Care, 505 E. S.
