I was sorry to read this about Lee. He was a year behind me in high school, and I don’t think I ever saw him without that bright beautiful smile. He was kind and friendly to all.
Rest now Lee, it won’t be that many years until we all come to see you again.

To have a bank manager volunteer to organize a golf scramble for a local small town non-profit was definitely a Godsend. And that guy was Lee Shawler. His effort provided hundreds of kids Christmas toys and gifts for youth living in Gas City and Jonesboro for many years.
So sorry for your loss. I worked for Bob & Lee at the bank for many years. Lee had an infectious smile and was a joy to work with. Our boys played baseball on the team he coached for Jeff. Lee was always volunteering for the community whether it was Twin City We Care, Kiwanis or 3 -Way Recreation League. It was my honor to know & work with both Bob & Lee they were truly friends.
