Robert Ames, 82, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Majestic Care, New Haven. He was born in Hicksville, OH to the late Theodore and Mabel (Keating) Ames. Bob was a computer programmer with International Harvester where Read Obituary
He's the Dad of my best buddy, from our kids high school days, that I only met once. He was really a hoot directing us on our 'road trip' to the Bass Pro Shop/Cabela's near Detroit. He 'know all the back roads, like the back of my hand'. We were only turned around a couple of times, but we totally enjoyed the trip. R.I.P. Bob. You are now in a much better place.
Bob was truly a man for New Haven. His input and knowledge was so helpful in the planning and construction of the New Haven Utility blge on Summit st. He was also very instrumental in the Utility office venture into the computer age. It was an honor and privilege to work and serve with him. A true role model for us all.
