Ray Donald Moodie's Obituary
Ray Donald Moodie, 85, of New Haven, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Edwin and Sadie Moodie. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. The World War II Navy veteran was a member of American Legion Post 330. He retired after 20 years from Storlok Inc. and also from Lake-End Sales after 19 years. Ray was an avid Chicago Cubs and IU Basketball fan.
He is survived by children, John (Jeanne Imler) Moodie, James (Jitprapha) Gebhard, David (Patricia) Gebhard, and Suzanne (Larry) McCollough; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eldon Moodie; his twin brother, Roy Moodie; and sisters, Virginia Pynchion, and Marjorie Wilburn.
Funeral service is 12:00 Noon, Monday, July 23, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Rev. Deb Muetter officiating. Calling is also 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday July 22, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
