Patricia A. Federspiel's Obituary
Patricia Ann Federspiel, 90, of New Haven, Ind., passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at The Cedars, Leo. Born in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Marie T. (Salwitz) Little. She was a 1953 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Tampa, Fla. She attended the St. Joe School of X-Ray Technology in Fort Wayne after which she spent a year in San Francisco, Calif. at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and then at Brower General in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. as an x-ray technician. Upon returning to Fort Wayne, she worked in the personnel department at Harvester, proctored ASVAB tests for the government and spent several years working as a registration clerk for the VA Hospital. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality. Her faith was important to her, and she prayed the rosary every night before going to bed. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, puzzles, reminiscing of days past and spending time with the grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her sons, William (Sondra) Federspiel Jr of Fort Wayne, Mike (Lisa) Federspiel of Monroeville, Greg Federspiel of New Haven, Paul (Linda) Federspiel of Warsaw; daughter, Karen Morris of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Krysten, William III, John, Lauryn, Ed, Katie and Daniel; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Diego, Reyna, Lena, William IV and Theodore; and siblings, Elaine Schroeder, Marcia Stoller, Henry (Joyce) Little, David (Trudy) Little, Charles (Mary) Little, Nicholas (Leslie) Little, Marybeth Rippolone, and Christine (John) Marrone. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William 'Bill' Federspiel in 2008; and sisters Joanne Finklea and Judith Deary.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am Monday, February 9, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Burial in the church cemetery.
