Dont no where to begin to express how sorry i truly am for the ashby family's loss,I never got the chance to no monty as a adult,Just as kids and teengers.It still made me very sad and shocked when i got the news from anthor old neighbor hood Friend Alisha G.That he had sadly and way to suddenly passed away,We went to harrison hill and Geyer together very lil high school at south side,Plus we lived in the same for many years,Monty would always pick on me like he did many other kids lol,I remember alot of times hanging out and playing at the park the annual lil lafayette esponda block partys in the summer time,Monty's jokes in school,His dmx bike racing,God them were the days life was good and we was all us neighborhood kids were care free lol,Now its time to say good bye and its hard,In time things will slowly heal,But your memorey will live on forever,For so many lives you have touched in many ways,May you and your family find peace and happiness.So So Sorry god wanted you with him so soon.

I showed my 5 year old son the picture of Monty(from the newspaper) and he said "he looks nice". You raised him good, Gayla. My prayers go out to you and Dustin, and everyone else.

Monty (es-pa-monty) words will come to me for what I feel, life will never be the same, I don't look at anything the same, nor do I feel the same about anything. God wanted you in heaven and felt your time on earth was finished? I know you are in a place that we have not idea how wonderful it is and you deserve it, you have been a handful in your short life, but you made it worth every minute-you will always be with me!

One year ago today we put you to rest. I miss you Monty Allen and so many others do too. We are all still struggling trying to understand why you had to leave us all so soon, but I'm sure there was a good reason.Anyways, we miss you so and there are so many good and crazy memories of you that we're all thankful for!!! To the family of, Monty Allen Ashby, With our most deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. We lost our 22 year old son, Joshua David, in 2007. Our hearts broke when we saw your, Monty's obituary. You are in our thoughts & in our prayers. We are in a group called, The Compassionate Friends, it is for families to offer friendship, understanding and hope to them in their bereavement. We welcome parents, siblings, and grandparents grieving the loss of a child, sibling, or grandchild of any age, and from any cause. At the meetings we share our experiences resulting from our child's death, and how we deal with those experiences. The chance to talk and share and listen is so important in the grieving process. If you ever are interested in attending, there is no time frame in which to start coming. Come when you think you are ready to meet others who understand how you feel. There is a chapter in Fort Wayne that meets on the First Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm, with the exception of July when there is a Balloon Release & December is a Candle Light Service. Meeting address: First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St. Room 303. There is also a chapter in Columbia City, IN & in Van Wert, OH.
