Leora Adams' Obituary
Leora B. Adams, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at home. Born in Yoder, she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Gladys (Smith) Herbst. She was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne and as an expression of her faith in Jesus Christ, could often be found volunteering for various organizations. When she wasn’t helping others she loved to garden and crochet. She is survived by her children, Kerry (Ruby) Adams of New Haven, Rick (Ellen) Adams of New Palestine, and Cynthia (Edward) McKaig of Spencerville; sister, Karen (Paul) Plante of Phoeniz, AZ; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2003; and sisters, Vilena Carey and Bernadine Adams. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating.
