Leila C Judt's Obituary
Leila C. Judt, 93, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at her residence. Born in Allen County, IN, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Grote) Berning. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She was also a member of the Fort Wayne Bowling Association. Leila enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching IU basketball and the Chicago Cubs. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Kaye) Judt; grandchildren, Kyle Schultz, Michael Judt, and Marcie (Aaron) Krautter. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Judt; daughter, Peggy Schultz; siblings, Fred Berning, Arthur Berning, and Ottilie Kiefer. Funeral service is 11 am Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitations is also 6 to 8 pm Friday, June 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
