Kathleen Sue Blauvelt's Obituary
Kathleen Sue "Kathy" Blauvelt, 76, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. Born in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ben Busch and Arlene (Carlson) DeWeese. She retired in 2015 from East Allen County Schools as a bus driver after 12 years. She enjoyed taking trips with her family, volunteering at church camp, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold "Mike" Blauvelt; children, Ronald (Ronaele) Blauvelt, Eric (Terri) Blauvelt, and Natalie (Greg) Petersen; siblings, Greg (Jonetta) DeWeese, Debbie (Martin) Ingemansen, Nancy DeWeese, Steve (Aimee) DeWeese, and Joyce (Dan) Schaldach; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by stepmother, Sherry Busch.
Funeral service is 11 am Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, July 20, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
