John "Jack" W. Loser's Obituary
John “Jack” W. Loser, 82, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Marshall County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Blanche (Hatten) Loser. He served his country in the US Army, being discharged in 1956. He was a member of Blackhawk Ministries, Fort Wayne, where he very active in the choir, drama department, and participated in The Living Christmas Tree for many years. He was a co-owner of both L&L Travel and Summit Coaches, retiring in 1999. He loved to garden, working outside, Christmas lights, and traveling. He was an avid sports fan who followed IU Basketball and Notre Dame Football. He also loved Komets Hockey and drove for the team for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet; sons, Jeffrey (Amy) Lohser of Fort Wayne and Eric (Stephanie) Loser of New Haven; brother, James Loser of Leesburg; grandchildren, Aubrey Lohser of Napa Valley, CA, Andrew (Abbie Trosper) Lohser of Grand Rapids, MI, and Katie Loser of New Haven; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brother, Carl Loser; and sisters, Virginia Darr, Rosie Huss, and Joanna Sheline.
Celebration of Life is 11 a.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Service will be followed by military honors. Pastor Gary Rowland officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association, The Ridge, or Blackhawk Ministries.
