Joan Rausch's Obituary
Joan Rausch, 94, of Fort Wayne, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Park Place Senior Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Seneca, S. Dak., she was the daughter of the late John Tobin and Neva (Fox) Quiett. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. She retired in 1990 from Nicholas Sales and Marketing, but her true passion was working with plants and flowers at Henry's Greenhouse. She also enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, and going on annual wine trips with her family.
She is survived by her children, James (Zoya) Rausch, Judy (Steve) Murphy, Suzanne (Mark) Johnson, and Chuck (Lisa) Rausch; brother, Gene Tobin; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Francis in 2006; granddaughter, Shayna LeMay; and siblings, Angie Klaus, Donna Ellis, and Richard Tobin.
Memorial service is 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E. New Haven with visitation two hours prior (1 to 3 pm). Inurnment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Lupis Foundation of American, or Gigi's Playhouse Fort Wayne.
