As a young girl it was very exciting to stop in New Haven traveling from Elmhurst, IL to MI to visit Uncle Jay's family.
Uncle Jay always reminded me of my mom/his sister "strong and quiet" intelligent and organized. My sympathy to everyone close to Jay.
Vickie and family, please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father.
Please know your family is in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed.
We share in your grief at this difficult time. He delighted everyone and anyone he touched. He certainly did us...what a wonderful man and uncle.

In 1959, after graduating from Electronics School, I applied for a job at Magnavox. I was interviewed by Mr. Baney. He explained that I had no experience, but I would not get any experience unless someone hired me. With that said, he hired me. I certainly appreciated the opportunity. I worked for Magnavox for 17 years.
I was very thankful to have known Jay Baney for 20+ years when I lived at the Canterbury Green apartments. I have good memories of playing golf with him and going to baseball games with him and his wife, Shirley.
I will be thinking of her during this time of loss.
