Jack J. Notestine's Obituary
Jack J. Notestine, 87, of New Haven, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Ney, OH he was the son of the late Harley and Ollie Notestine. The US Navy veteran served his country in World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #330, where he was a past commander. He retired in 1986 from International Harvester after 44 years of service.
Jack is survived by his children, Kent (Becky) Notestine of Woodburn, Constance Wannemacher of Fort Wayne, and Kim (Kerry) Hicken of Roosevelt, UT; brother, William Notestine of Defiance, OH; grandchildren, Mindy Rex, Heidi Felger, Sonja Moehring, Bill Notestine, Christian Burns, Dustin Wannemacher, Rhonda Southwick, Ryan Wannemacher, Donny Hicken, Jackie Hicken, Kyle Hicken, Eric Hicken, Jerod Hicken, and Justin Hicken; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Velma in 2012; and brother, Tom Notestine.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Pastor Todd Buckmaster officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven with military honors by American Legion Post #330. Preferred memorials are to Riley Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
