Sad to hear of Gil’s passing. I knew your father some years before I became a/his barber. I enjoyed beverages and talking with/and listening to him at Post 330 and Navy Club years later about farming. I’ll miss him.

My sympathies to all of my Bradtmueller relatives. Gilbert was a large figure in my life as I grew up on our adjacent farms. Gilbert frequently worked with us on our farm, and I periodically worked with Gilbert on their farm. He was my transportation to many Martini Church youth activities once he had a car. Ah yes, those Plymouth convertibles! He picked me up for youth softball games on Sunday afternoons. We would go to get his car washed in Fort Wayne on many Sunday afternoons too. He always treated me as a peer even though he was older than me. I know he will be missed by his immediate family. He was a big part of my growing up years! Cliff Wiese
