Gregg Harpel
There will always be a part of Evan's spirit on the lakes here on Williams and Muncie. From coming up here to Uncle Jim's to Tuesdays with Troy and coming up with Jimmy or Matt, he always enjoyed his quest for the giant crappie. I have been blessed to have a group of friends that has continued to hang out still after meeting in junior high and high school. We enjoyed great times. There were epic parties at Maroney's. T.A.F. at Johnny, Brad and Jiffin' Jim's and later the annual Harpel 4th of July parties that started his love for fireworks. There were rough times too. There were dragons we fought together that few would understand, but I'm glad he was by my side. I'm sure when I'm down by the lake, one day I'll probably see his spirit in the morning mist, out in a boat...with a hibachi in the middle...cooking lunch.
