What special memories I have of my Cuz Em going back to the early 60’s when I worked part-time at Amstutz Insurance with Em while going to International Business College. Emerald was one of the pillars of Westwood Church as I was growing up. Faithful servant of the Lord. I still have memories of seeing him walking to church with Bible in hand on Sunday mornings as we pulled into the parking lot. Our sympathy and prayers go out to you Emily and Onalee.

Yes, Emerald was and is a jewel. As a neighbor, my deacon, friend and brother in the Lord I knew no one as gracious to me as his pastor for ten years and these 35 years since moving from Woodburn. I will miss his phone calls, birthday and anniversary cards he sent over the years signed, "Old neighbor!" He was creative in giving us our Christmas gifts in Cracker Jack box or a variety of ways.The memories are too many to list yet I will hold them in my heart untill I see him again in heaven for he gave my family many to recall.

He certainly was a jewel for so many people. Me included since 1976. Loved all that EM & Gwen did in music, in the church and lived his faith in life. 💜💜💜🙏
So very sorry for your loss Emily. I remember your dad took several of us IBC girls to lunch after our graduation (1970). I always thought that was so nice of him. He was a kind and caring gentleman.
