Beth,I'm not sure if having their shoe store next to my parents bar is how they became friends or from church but when my mom and Dori became close friends, Dori got 8 other friends.......all of us Cheviron kids and our dad. We loved her like family and she was so lovable. I really got to know her from St. Mary's and enjoyed sitting with her at mass. I know Clem is excited to see her. I worked with Doris at The Mental Health Center of Fort Wayne in the mid 1970s. She was a wonderful person and I have fond memories of Doris. May peace and comfort be with her family.

Dorie and Kenny were good friends of my parents. I've known her since I was 15 from the Yard Stop days... it brings back a flood of good memories. Always loved her tell-it-like-it-is way about things. I used to stop to talk with her at St. Anne's every time I saw her while my Mom was also there.

Life won't be the same without Dorie. We shared many laughs over the years. We loved to talk about "Chicago" where we both lived years ago. We used to carpool to work. If their was a pending storm she could get us home in record time. She always wanted to know what my family was up to (and everyone else's). Her body was failing in the end, but she was still Dorie....always laughing, always interested in everyone else. I loved her dearly and will always miss her. My thoughts to Tom, Beth and all her family.
