Donald R. Scherer, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Cedarhurst, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Lenz) Scherer. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Read Obituary
To The Family of Donald Scherer. Uncle Don was a very kind and gentle man. Thanked me many times for sending him a letter when he was in the service. Have many good memories of getting together with your family at Grandma Bearman’s house. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To the Scherer family I had the pleasure of working with your dad from 1974 thru 1980 in the cabinet shop at Magnavox. He was always willing to share his knowledge with me as I was just learning my job. He also had a great sense of humor. I still remember some of his funny sayings. I’m so sorry for your loss. So sorry for your loss! Don was a well respected man of faith and always had a kind word for you. He was an excellent woodworker. In fact, I developed an interest in woodworking because of him. He volunteered as the President of AAL branch 641, and always made me proud of the activities associated with the branch. Rest in peace, Don! You will be missed!
