Delores Janet Pettit's Obituary
Delores Janet Pettit, 89, of Sandy, Utah, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2026, at home. Born in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late Otis Otto and Hazel Leona (Chaney) Orr. She retired in 2005 from the United State Postal Service after 37 years. She enjoyed walking, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Fliger, Victoria (Michael) Eiden, Melinda White, and Jeremy (Liliola) Pettit; sibling, Marianne Westafer; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Russell Cocklin and Eugene Pettit; four brothers; and seven sisters.
Funeral service is 10 am Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
