Aunt Dee,
I love and miss you. I have fond memories of you and the family reunions as they were always fun. When coming to Indiana, I always looked forward to our special visits. When you came to Georgia you always made the effort for us to meet. It was fun to explore fun places of interest and restaurants in Atlanta. I remember babysitting for your 3 girls when they were little. Now they're grown and time has flown. I will now think of you in your Heavenly home and pray that you are at peace. You are thought of with a kind, loving spirit.

I was having a yard sale one day ( around 10 -12 years ago) & I saw her walking up & she went over to a table of incense that I had made & began looking at them. I then got up & walked over to and said "Good morning! How are you doing today?". She then looked up at me & said " I'm just a little hot. " As soon as she started talking I could tell that she was having a heat stroke. So, I yelled for my daughter Ashley & her & I got her stabilized immediately & then let her rest until she felt like getting up. She then told us that she wanted Melinda. So, then we took her to Melinda's house so that she could be with her. The very next day she came over to my house & she walked up to me & handed me a bouquet of flowers & told me that those were for my daughter & I for saving her life. We all embraced at that moment & tears of happiness rolled down our faces.This memory to me is the most bittersweet one because even though it was bitter at first it was sweet in the end.

Mrs. Pettit, it was so nice getting to know you again when I moved back to NH.
I've known you and your family since I was in 4th grade.
My favorite memories are:
You always told me I looked like Cher.
And, you taught me how to change a cloth diaper. Sorry Jeremy, I think I made you cry a few times.
May you be celebrating with all your family in Heaven now.

Grandma Dee, I’m going to miss you so so much! You were one of my best friends and one of the most caring and loving people I will ever have the chance to know. I am who I am today because of you, same for Traejen. Thank you for always letting me be me and for always having my back no matter what! The world seems different without u in it. I can be at peace knowing that you are not being mistreated and that you are in a better place. You will forever live in our hearts. I love you so much Gram!

Having worked with Delores for many, many years, I had the surprise of Delores knowing about Big Turkey Lake. She showed me a picture of Jeremy at the lake & I said "That looks like Big Turkey Lake!" She replied "How did you know??!" (Her brother lived up there & my grandfolks/parents had a cottage there.)
So many fond memories of my cherished friend and always so kind and considerate. A loving Christian lady, Dee loved her family and was involved with all of them.
May Dee rest in peace and rejoice forever in her Savior's loving arms!!!
