There are so many good memories from Pete but I shall always remember when you were talking to him you always knew he cared about you and what you said with sincerity. His love for people was genuine and will be forever be in the hearts of those who loved him and I did with so many others.
“Hey, Sheri! How ya doin!?” With the biggest smile and bear hug every time... he would come find me at every gathering. We talked about everything, and nothing at all. A wonderful man who touched everyone who knew him. Remember the laugh....it was the best! I will miss you always Uncle Pete!

To know Uncle Pete was to Love Uncle Pete. He was a very kind person who would help anyone at a moments notice. Some of my fondest memories of Pete are stopping in at Pete and Diane's house and sitting on the front porch and listening to the Indianapolis 500 on the radio. I was 16 years old, just started driving, and couldn't wait to stop in at Pete and Diane's. What a relaxing way to spend the day! Pete had a way of making you smile when you were around him. Another time I stopped in and pete and Diane were making sauerkraut balls. They were making a ton of them. Pete and Diane offered me a couple and I can honestly say that they were fantastic! Anyone that has eaten Pete and Diane's sauerkraut balls would agree with me. It was fun just to watch them make them. Doing ten things at once, trying to talk to me, I still chuckle when I think about it. Pete leaves behind a wonderful family. Pete may not be with us physically anymore ,but he will always be with us. He is a part of all of us. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten! Tim and Karen Zehr
Oh my how do I even begin to share how much this man meant to me...his loving smile, his caring and his wave as I beeped my horn.... Dad Zehr you'll never know the joy you brought me, growing up took a village and I am proud to stand up and say this man touched my heart and helped me to grow into the crazy lady I am! RIH
