I will always remember him sitting in his chair at Khale's baseball games. God Bless,
I was lucky enough to grow up behind Rudy and Barb. At one time, I had a large horse boarding and training stable. Rudy was at barn all the time. My horses loved him, especially Jodi! Rudy thought it was funny that he had a son and horse by same name. Jodi the horse was absolutely smitten with Rudy. She thought he hung the moon and she wasn't wrong. One day I was in field with horses. Rudy walked out to see me after having been on vacation in Florida. He went to hug me and my horse grabbed me and knocked me out of the way to get to Rudy. That horse followed him around like a 1200# puppy. He's walk into the barn and all 18 horse would whinny and carry on because they all knew Rudy would pass out treats. We got into all kinds of trouble together. I'm going to miss his amazing sense of humor and "hey kid" phone calls
He was a tru American hero and I am so lucky to have had him in my life. Godspeed. Give Jodi & Copper carrots. for me.
I can remember when I used to go over for Thanksgiving. I always felt like family from the early 80's till now. Rudy and barb and the kids were always golden to all they came in contact with. Darrel will be missed. We also spent many years together in the Air Guard.
Rudy was my cousin Barb's husband. When I visited them he would always give me a big hug. He and Barb always made sure to invite my mom and me for Thanksgiving. He was always such a kidder. Just a fun guy. I will miss his smile.
He was my uncle but he was like a father to me. I'm going to miss him so much.
Darrel is my daughter’s father-in-law. He was a true military hero. I will miss the talks we had about the military and our grandchildren.

Rudy was a great guy once you got to know him. He always told you how he felt, and was a bit gruff at first. Spent a lot of time with him in the Air Guard, he helped me get uniforms because I wasn't issued them at first for a year. He would give you a hard time, and then say I wouldn't give you a hard time if I didn't like you, and he would do anything for his friends. My condolences and prayers to all the family and friends of this hero.
