Danny McKay's Obituary
Danny R. McKay, 61, of Woodburn, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Owosso, Michigan, he retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Among his most precious loves were his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kris (Reichhart) McKay; children, Michelle (Nathan) Wilkinson of Texas and Kevin (Melissa) McKay of Fort Wayne; siblings, Gary (Kim) McKay and Nancy (Steve) Noll both of Fort Wayne, and Susan (Bennie) Braswell of Gaffney, SC; twin grandchildren, Julia and Jonathon Wilkinson; and grandson, William McKay. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald McKay; mother, Agnes McKay-Burkhart; and step-father, Alban Burkhart. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Timothy Edwards officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial is Noon, Wednesday in Brant Twp. Cemetery, Brant, Michigan.
