I remember meeting Dallas Dodane at the Woodburn Knitting Club which we affectionately call the Hookers. I thought it was rather unusual that a man enjoyed knitting, but still kind of cool.
Dallas made me a scarf which I will cherish forever. He also made lots of scarves and blankets for others. They always said a blessing over them.
The real blessing was to have known Dallas. He was a kind, generous, and caring individual.
Sometimes he would become frustrated when he made a mistake on his knitting. He would turn it over to his wife who would correct his mistake. He wanted his projects to be perfect.
I bought a plant to memorialize him. It is a butterfly plant and will attract butterflies. So every time I see a butterfly I will think of him with love.
I know he is in Heaven and with the Lord right now. He is visiting all his old friends and watching over those he cares about.
