I didn't know Craig, but I am sorry to hear about his passing. I will be praying for your family.
Craig will be missed for so many reasons. I will miss not only his friendship, but also as a mentor for what a police officer should be. I will always remember Craig would take as much time as I needed to answer questions and he always was trying to get me figure out the answers for myself by guiding me through our conversations. I always felt that Craig didn't want me to just get the right answer, but he always wanted me to understand why I came to the answer. He was a great friend, co-worker, and police officer. While working with Craig I observed him mold two separate officers within the Detective Bureau and both of the officers came out of that training much better police officers. My heart goes out to his family and his friends at New Haven Police Department. Remember to continue to fight the good fight that Craig stood for everyday of his life.
Many people are content to sit back and let others carry the burden. Others can never rest until they are content that they have done everything possible to help and contribute in any given situation. Craig was always a selfless "doer". Like many families, cousins grow up together and drift apart over time as families water down and expand to other cities. I can say that no matter how long it had been since I had spoken to Craig, I knew I could count on him to not only help but go beyond my needs. Always in command and ALWAYS smiling.
Craig was the "rock" of his family and he leaves a very big void that can never be filled in both the lives of his immediate family, but also in the lives of all of us who were fortunate enough to know him and proud to call him "Family". He will be greatly missed.

Dear Mrs. Robinson and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We are citizens and did not know your husband but because we continue to hear so much about his past accomplishments, service and relationships with officers of other departments, we feel we've known him forever. We are very proud of our police officers and support them without hesitation. We wish we could have met Craig because we feel that there will always be a void where that friendship would have grown. Our hearts go out to you and your family because you not only lost a husband and Dad but after speaking with other officers, we see that you also lost a friend. We can not remove your pain but we can assure you that Craig will never be forgotten.
The Police Flag at the Law Enforcement/Fire Fighter Memorial on Wells Street, will fly at half staff tomorrow (Thursday) until dusk, in honor of Craig.
May the Lord bless and watch over your family and "Thank You Craig" for your service to us citizens and our communities.
Dear Sharon and Family: May God grant you peace and comfort during this time of great loss. Craig will be missed, but his "smile" never forgotten. If there is anything I can do to ease your sorrow - please let me know. You are in my prayers.
