Clara B. Adair's Obituary
Clara B. Adair, 97 of Fort Wayne passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Ida (Hormann) Beyer. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne and had a strong Christian faith. She retired in 1979 from Parkview Memorial Hospital. She skated with the New Haven Rollerettes, was an avid Purdue fan, and loved fishing. She had a love of traveling, which she shared with her companion, Robert Davis, who survives. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always held a special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her sons, James (Jennifer) Adair of Fort Wayne and John (Virgie) Adair of Newbern, TN; grandsons, Mark (Jennifer) Adair, Jon (Heidi) Adair, and Eric (Leslie) Adair; and 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Orville Adair; and five siblings.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday at St. Anne Home, 1900 Randallia Dr., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. Calling is also 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
