What wonderful memories we have of Bruce and his Christian witness to our family. He was always so willing to help our daughter. We loved visiting with him and his wife as they walked by our home. Our daughter, Sara, was so blessed to be a recipient of his love. She was able to go to church with him at times, also.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family
I remember the Easter when we lived at Maywood Lake and your family dyed an egg black. Our house had dark woodwork and a few rooms were not well lit. I think that might have been one of the eggs that we found 'a few days later'.
And I will always cherish the memories of being at Grandma and Grandpa Ray's house, most ALL of us cousins being there and having SO MUCH FUN!!!
I was a bit afraid of Uncle Bruce when I was about 5, but I realize that he was a good man and a wonderful dad to you.
God Bless all of you.
LOVE,
Cheryl
Dear Friends (Raine, John, Kevin, etc.),
So sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. He and Ruth Ann were so dear to me while we all attended Colony Heights Church of Christ. They were like grandparents to me. Bruce was a delight to know, and I'll always have precious memories.
Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Kathy Beltz
Bruce and Dick swam together for many years.
We celebrated at Johnnels when they reached 500 miles. We enjoyed many meals with him and Ruthann. He was an exceptionally kind and religious man.
God bless you all. Hope you can remember the good times.
I haven’t seen Bruce in over 20 years, but for some reason, I was thinking of him last month while driving through New Haven. He had a quiet demeanor, but he seemed to leave a lasting impression. I knew Bruce when we both worked with the Red Cross Therapeutic Aquatics Program. Although he had his own health challenges, I remember his gentle smile, his warm sense of humor, his modesty, and the compassion he shared others. I know he touched many lives and will be missed.
