To my cousins and their families, Our hearts and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time. Having recently suffered the same loss, we understand exactly what you're feeling at this time, and for a while yet to come. Letting our parents go leaves us with an empty space that no one else will ever fill. We look forward to that day when we will once again enjoy a reunion with them, where there is no disease or sickness ...and all will be well and happy.
Your Mom was such a special lady. I remember how many people she and your Dad hosted in their home. I too remember her published crochet works, some of which I've made. But it also is her sewing that stands out in my mind. She could have been a professional seamstress. If memory serves me correctly, she is the one who sewed a few bridesmaids gowns? I remember a coat she sewed for a friend, and it looked like a boughten piece of work ... but better than perfection!
We will always remember her as she was before illness took its toll; as a sweet woman with a smile to match, and boundless energy.
Love always,
Melvin & Sandy
