Zenda I. Bateman's Obituary
Zenda I. Bateman, 102, passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father, Friday, November 11, 2022, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Jesse "Dotte" (Ross) Snyder. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church where she once sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She retired from Magnavox after 44 years. She enjoyed singing and music, but she especially loved watching I.U. Basketball.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Belva Hatton, Glenn (Barbara) Bateman, and Lisa Fisher; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Snyder) Rex, James, Marshall, Thomas, Elaine, Donald, and Kenton Snyder; 21 grand nieces. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Amos Bateman; siblings, Ross Snyder, Clelland Snyder, Ivandale Snyder, Lucille Parker; step-son, Gene Bateman, nephews, David and Michael Snyder, nieces, Sarah, Barbara Snyder, and Susan Parker.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven with visitation one hour prior (10-11 a.m.). Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the church. Arrangements by Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
