Yvonna Elaine Conrad's Obituary
Yvonna Elaine Conrad, 88, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Born in Orland, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Frances (Kentner) Straw. She was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven. She retired in 1991 from St. Joseph Hospital as a registered nurse after 17 years, ending her nursing career of 40 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Tim) Sneed, Alice Kope, Mary (Terry) Johnson, Ann (Matt) Redinger, Amy (Sam) Sikes; sons, Gregory Conrad, John Jr (Karen) Conrad, Steven (Kelly) Conrad and Andrew (Jennifer) Conrad; 29 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Anna Belle (Marvin) Morley; brothers, Robert and Herman Jr “Frostie” Straw; brother-in-law, Richard Petty; and sister-in-law, Alice K. Conrad. She was also preceded in death by her husband John Conrad in 2001; sisters, Norma Engle and Marjorie Petty; brothers, Louis, Buster, Arden, and Gordon Straw; and grandchildren, Christina and Carrie Sneed.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Father Benjamin Muhlenkamp officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are Masses or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
