Wilmer Bradtmueller's Obituary
Wilmer H. Bradtmueller, 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late Otto and Louise (Hitzemann) Bradtmueller Sr. He served his country in the US Army during Korea. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where he was an Elder for many years. He was a truck driver for Teeple Truck Lines and belonged to Teamsters Union. He was also an avid IU Basketball fan. He is survived by daughters, Brenda (Mark) Rekeweg of Spencerville and Lori (Ken) Minyard of Carmel; brother, Otto (Janice) Bradtmueller Jr of New Haven; grandchildren, Adam (Lauren) Rekeweg, Douglas Rekeweg, Nicholas (Ali) Rekeweg, Holly Ashley, and Ashley Minyard; and great grandchildren, Aden, Liam, Mason, Holden, Everly Rekeweg and Ellie Ashley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Betty Ann (Koenemann) Bradtmueller in 2016; sister, Irene Kruse; and brothers, Edward and Robert Bradtmueller. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors.
