Wilma Willie Haman's Obituary
Wilma “Willie” T. Haman, 86, of New Haven, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation. She was born December 16, 1924 in Los Angles, CA, the daughter of Wilma (Henry) and Leland Tull. She was raised from the age of three in her mother’s hometown, Palo Alto, CA, where she graduated from Palo Alto High School. She married Harry E. Haman in 1944 in Santa Cruz, CA, he passed away on April 4, 1982. She moved to to Ft. Wayne in 1944 to be reunited with Harry after the war, where they resided until the mid-1960swhen they moved to the Spencerville, IN area. She has resided in the New Haven Area since 2003 and is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Willie retired in 1987 after 20 years of service with the Magnavox Corp., Ft. Wayne.
She was an avid reader, a wonderful cook and collector of cook books for over 70 years. Willie enjoyed watching golf, baseball, and football (especially her San Francisco 49ers).
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Lynne & Louis Huguenard, of New Haven; grandson and his wife, William J. & Annie Goodpaster, of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Leland & Ruby Tull of Portola Valley, CA. four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Theresa Goodpaster and sister, Dorothy Patricia Marden.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father James Seculoff officiating. Calling is also 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
