William Vondran's Obituary
William Vondran, 85, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Louis and Marjorie (Camp) Vondran Jr. He was an active member of Martini Lutheran Church, where he was an elder and trustee. He retired from BF Goodrich after 37 years and played in their bowling and softball leagues. He enjoyed golfing and his annual fishing trips to Canada. Bill loved to be on his mower cutting grass or pulling kids with his trailer. He could often be found tinkering out in his barn or his tack room.
He is survived by his son, Lyle (Cassandra) Vondran; grandsons, Gabe and Eli Vondran; step grandsons, William and Isaac Kohrman; daughter-in-law, Judith (Rich) Kohrman; and siblings, Michael (Wanda) Vondran and Jane (Ron) Hockemeyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Sheryll in 2024; son, Gary Vondran in 1994; and brothers, Fred and Duaine Vondran.
Funeral service is 11 am Monday, May 19, 2025, at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Rd., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 pm Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
