William C. Tatman's Obituary
William C. Tatman, 79, of Edcouch, Texas, formerly of New Haven, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen, TX. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Rondot) Tatman. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of the Indiana Freemasons. He retired as an electrician in 1989. He was an avid camper and traveled the country in his RV until he settled in Texas. He also loved coaching softball, hiking, fishing, and was a naturalist.
He is survived by his children, Ronda (Duane) Hobbs of Coldwater, MI, LeAnn (Mark) Spitnale of Fort Wayne, Amy Tatman and Vicki Tatman both of New Haven; siblings, James (Judith) Tatman of San Clemente, CA, Dan (Barbara) Tatman of Rome City, Steve (Dinah) Tatman of Fort Wayne, Joseph (Kim) Tatman of Blairsville, Ga, and Delores (Duke) Richards of Churubusco; grandchildren, Stephanie (Andrew) Hughes, Cassie (Bryan) Boggs, Brooke (Joshua) Bertsch and Josh (Ashton) Spitnale; great grandchildren Adrian Spitnale and Ruth Hughes; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling also 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to New Haven Softball Association or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
