William Francis Rohyans' Obituary
William Francis Rohyans, 89, a resident of New Haven since 1969, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Gregory and Catherine Rohyans. The US Navy World War II veteran was an Honor Flight recipient. He retired in 1986 from BF Goodrich after 26 years as a machinist. He was an avid artist, woodworker and cook.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie (Jeff) Smith and Jennifer Hope both of Fort Wayne; sister, Margie Anderson of Pleasanton, CA; and grandsons, John W. Hope and Matthew D. Smith both of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Gregory.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Parish, 2120 Harrison St., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Father William Kummer officiating. Calling is also 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the Honor Flight Northeast Indiana or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
