Wayne G. Judt's Obituary
Wayne G. Judt, 84, of Fort Wayne died on Friday, February 10, 2012 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation Center, New Haven. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late George and Mary Judt. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, a 1945 graduate of New Haven High School, and was a lifetime avid Cubs fan. The WWII Army veteran retired in 1987 from Phelps Dodge after 41 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leila (nee. Berning); children, Jerry (Kaye) Judt of Anderson, and Peggy (Bill) Schultz of Fort Wayne; brother, Marvin "Mick" Judt of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren; Marcie (Aaron) Krautter, Michael Judt, both of Anderson, and Kyle Schultz of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his sisters; Betty Jean Bearman, and Marlene Busche.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. The Rev. Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial is in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, with military honors. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter's Lutheran Church,Worship for Shut-Ins, or Donors Choice.
