Wayne E. Bock's Obituary
Wayne E. Bock, 87, of New Haven, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at home. Born in Garrett, he was the son of the late Carl and Georgia Bock. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church and a graduate of Manchester College. The WWII Army veteran was a member of American Legion Post 330 where he served in all offices including past Post Commander, V.F.W. Post 2457, The Navy Club Ship 245, and the Moose Lodge 1480. He retired as assistant vice-president in 1983 from Lincoln Life Insurance after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lovenia; son, Jack Bock of New Haven; sisters, Flo Rose Trzynka of Ossian and Berniece Gerber of Seminole, FL; grandchildren, Molly (George) Oliver and Sean Bock; great granddaughter, Anne Oliver; daughter-in-law, Dr. Susan Dwyer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Bock; and sister, Eileen Paonessa.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne with military honors by American Legion Post 330. Preferred memorials are to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation or New Haven United Methodist Church.
