Warren R Rowe's Obituary
Warren R. Rowe, 96, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at River Valley Care Center, Live Oak, California. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Paul and Frieda (Marquardt) Rowe. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne. He served his country during World War II in both the US Marine Corp and as a US Navy Corpsman at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was a member of American Legion Post 330. He retired in 1981 from International Harvester after 40 years. He was also a member of Travelers Protective Association.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherrie Doehrman of Yuba City, CA and Susan (Lee) Dees of Naples, FL; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Vivian J. Rowe (Funk) in 2008.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Laura Sherwood officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2016 at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warriors.
