Walter E. Smith's Obituary
Walter E. Smith, 82, of Tillman, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Arthur and Pauline Smith.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Kelly) Smith, Kenneth (Sherri) Smith, David (Michelle) Smith, and Patricia (Charles) Wolf all of Fort Wayne, James (Penny) of Decatur, Brenda Schmitt and Mary Smith both of Florida, and Linda (Mike) Talamantes of New Haven; siblings, Merle Smith of Fort Wayne, and Carolyn Hart of Monroeville; 33 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. (nee. Bolenbaugh) Smith in 2006; and five brothers.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Calling 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
