Vivian "Viv" F. Henry's Obituary
Vivian “Viv” F. Henry, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Reynold and Gladys (Mozena) Petrie. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. She was a beautician for 40 years, retiring in 1992. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 330 Auxiliary and the Fort Wayne Duplicate Bridge Club.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim; children, Cynthia Henry Carter and David (Tien) Henry; granddaughters, Shannon (Troy) Scheumann, Heather (Matt) Landfair, and Tabatha Henry; grandsons, Tyler and Justin Henry; great granddaughter, Haylie McCracken. sisters, Rita (Freedom) Murphy, Helen Sweeting, and Elaine Kutzel; and brothers, Bill, Bob, and Charles Petrie. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Henry, Jr.; and sisters, Gloria, MaryAnn, Maxine, and Susie; and brother, John Petrie.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 4:30 p.m. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the church.
