We last saw him just before coming to Florida around January 7,2015. When I hugged him as I always do when we left, he had tears in his eyes as I thought he knew it may be the last time we talked here on earth.
To Virgils family, I entend Sympathy from the Bandelier family, and especially from IKE Bandelier, they have been great friends for over 70 years. Ike was not able to come to the viewing, but did get to see him last fall. I did see Virgil at Bob Evans, at that time he looked great, He always had a smile and a greeting any time that I would see him. He will be missed by many.

As a coworker of Norm, I know how much Norm values family. That can only come from a solid family foundation. I am sure such a patriarch is sorely missed. My condolences to Norm and all of Virgil's family.
Our deepest sympathy to Virgil's family. For many years I worked at Parkview Hospital where Virgil was such a delight as a volunteer. He so enjoyed it. He often stopped in my office to say hello and chat.

I am proud to have known Virgil. He was a great Patriot, Served his country well and fostered the growth of the Woodburn American Legion, among the many other contributions to the community, in addition to raising a great family that we are all proud of. Truly a great citizen and above all a dedicated Christian. Sorry I can't be at the Funeral since I will be out of town.
Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember my dad (Larry Yarrington) talking about going to school and playing baseball together with Virgil, sounded like they had some pretty good times in the day.
Virg was a dear friend of our father since their early school days. We heard so many great stories over the years of the fun times they shared. Virg was a great guy and we feel blessed to have known him. We know he is in Heaven and smiling.
