Virgil D. Berridge's Obituary
Virgil D. Berridge, 80, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Marion, Ohio he was the son of the late Rev. J. Howard and Bertha (DeLaney) Berridge. The US Air Force veteran was a proud truck driver for Mason Dixon and USF Holland, retiring in 1998. He was also a member of Teamster 414, loved yardwork, spending time with his grandkids, and his favorite dog, Zoee. He could always be found cheering on his favorite team, the Detroit Lions.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; eight children; three siblings; and several grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother; and one sister.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Paul Berridge officiating. Calling is also 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne with military honors. Preferred memorials are to Allen County SPCA.
