Dear Rev. Ringenberg, Roger, Dorcas, Gary and family,
My deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Violet. She represented the finest person and Christian in my life when I was growing up in the First Missionary Church. She loved unconditionally, always had a smile, and held a positive attitude and a bounce in her step. She truly was a helpmate in the ministry at our church. She tackled the first Choir Cantata as our choir director, very innovative. Hers was a life well lived and she was a blessing to all whose path she crossed. My grandparents considered the Ringenberg ministry years the very best years of the First Missionary Church history and they began attending before 1920. I was so saddened to hear of Violet's recent health problems and now her homegoing. Although, we know that she is happier now than she has ever been!

Violet was an important part of the Women's Auxiliary in the 80's and early 90's when my husband, Don Gerig, was President of Fort Wayne Bible College/Summit Christian College. She helped the Auxiliary to raise funds for many projects at the college and was an inspiration to all of us who served with her. I will always remember her as having a real heart for the students. She was willing to invest her time and talents into making their lives better. My love and prayers are with Gerald and the rest of the family.

The memories are many as we think of our years in Woodburn (77-86)and then on the Taylor-Fort Wayne Alumni Council in more recent years. Always a smile and awareness of her love for Jesus and people. May you have the peace and comfort of our Lord even as you grieve your loss. Can't wait for heaven.

So saddened by this news, yet rejoicing that Violet is in Heaven! I was from an un-churched family, but was brought to Woodburn Missionary by my best friend and her family. I grew up there! Violet was my "Prayer Mom", and though I think it was only supposed to last a year, she just kept on being that for me! She also reached out to my mother and was a very real witness to her. She and Gerald were such a blessing to me throughout my life; as Gerald baptised me there at age 13, and later officiated at my wedding! Every pivotal moment in my life involved the Ringenbergs! Many prayers for healing and peace to all of you.

While Violet will be dearly missed, we are so thankful that her mouth spoke in praise of the Lord her entire life. She sang praise to her God as long as she lived! Now she is seeing Him face to face! Praise His name!

We are sorry to hear the news about Violet's passing. Gerald performed the marriage of our daughter Melanie Huff to Jeff Jacob, and their sons Elijah and Titus's Jacob's Dedication.
