Vernon Baker's Obituary
Vernon Baker, 78, of Monroeville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at home. Born in Garrard County, Ky, he was the son of the late Dan Baker and Johniva (Saylor) Guin. He retired from Nishikawa Standard Company after nine years. He enjoyed watching westerns, going to auctions, the outdoors, and loved a good debate. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonny (Hicks) Baker; children, Vernon J. Baker, Jr and Theresa Baker; and half-brother, Bill Guin. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Graveside service is 11 am Friday, January 2, 2026, at IOOF Cemetery, 1109 Hartzell Rd, New Haven with visitation one hour prior at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
