Vera M. Frecker, 84, of New Haven, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at home peacefully. She was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1926. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bert Frecker; daughters, Gabriella (Ransom) Curey of W Read Obituary
We have grown to love and appreciate Vera over the years as our neighbor although it didnt take years to do so. I will always remember the love she had for her flowers. When ever I didnt know about a flower I could always ask her and most generally she knew the answer.Our condolences to the family. Vera will always be in our hearts and memories.

Bert and family - My sincere sympathies for your loss. I worked with Vera at Big Lots and she was such a joy! I loved talking to her about her younger years and was so glad she finally got to go home and see her homeland.
We cried together before she went and after she came back. She was a wonderful person and I loved her dearly. She will be missed!
I'm sorry for your loss. I will always remember Mrs. Frecker as the best Girl Scout leader I ever had. She was so sweet. I had to come over to her troop as a Cadette because we didn't have a troop in Woodburn. I have fond memories of that troop. Thanks Mrs. Frecker.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Vera. I have so many fond memories of her and have shared many of the scouting ones with my daughter. I credit her and Phyllis for my love of scouting for they made it truly fun. I will think of her often and remember her with love. Take heart and know that she watches over you from a much better place.
Delbert, sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Mrs. Frecker! I'm sure Vera has joined other Girl Scout legends at the big troop meeting in the sky. Dear Burt & Family, I worked with Mrs. Vera there at Big Lots New Haven, Mrs. Vera was such a treasure, and I Loved her so much. She will be greatly missed, and I pray the Dear Lord will comfort you and yours just as much as he has for Mrs. Vera. I send ya'all my love and sincerest condolences.
