Timothy Dean Whitcomb's Obituary
Timothy Dean Whitcomb, 71, of Angola, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Defiance, Ohio, he was the son of the late Howard Whitcomb and Marian (Sanders) Gagnon. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He was the previous owner of Evers Collision Works, Fort Wayne, and Pruden Garage, Fort Wayne. Tim also was a past owner of Carl’s Tavern, New Haven. He was a member of the VFW Angola, the Kiwanis, the Mason’s and the 32nd degree Freemasonry. He enjoyed being at the lake and his passion was working on cars, and hot rods. Tim never missed a car show in the area. He especially loved spoiling his granddaughters. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dianna (LaFever) Whitcomb; daughters, Haylie (Ben) McHenry and Kylie (Eli) Swineford; granddaughters, Madeline and Lennon McHenry. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Russ Whitcomb. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to The Shepherd House, Fort Wayne, www.shepherdhouse.org.
