Thomas Parker Ellsworth's Obituary
Thomas Parker Ellsworth, 94, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born in Dekalb, Ill. he was the son of the late Ralph and Verta Ellsworth. He was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. He served his country in both the US Army and the US Navy during WWII. Parker was an electrical engineer for over 30 years with Magnavox Corp. in various capacities, and was a former member of the board of directors for the Embassy Theater Foundation.
He is survived by his children, Marlene Ellsworth and Timothy Ellsworth both of Fort Wayne and Mark (Viann) Ellsworth of New Haven; and grandsons, Matthew, Nathan, and Jonathan Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Adra in 2008; and brother, Paul Ellsworth.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Rick Taylor officiating. Calling is also Wednesday 5 to 8 p.m. at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to New Haven United Methodist Church.
